About the Hong Kong Dolphins
The Hong Kong Dolphins Swimming team is a registered
society with the aim of promoting swimming. If you would
like to be part of a swimming team, get really fit,
feel great and take part in regular swimming meets and
social events then join the Dolphins today.
Sessions will be between 1,000m to 5,000m. and last
a minimum of one hour to two hours.
There is a junior squad (ages 7 – 12) and a senior
squad (ages 12 – 19).
Swimmers that make the qualifying times will be entered
into ASA swimming competitions. Training takes place
in Mid Levels and at Jardines Lookout throughout the
year.
Potential Dolphin swimmers should first start in a
Beginner 3/Improvers class to be assessed. Swimmers
should already know how to swim all four strokes plus
starts and turns well. During training there is much
emphasis on drills and stroke correction to fine tune
the ability of swimmers however the Dolphin’s
team is not for teaching swimming. Remember only, “Perfect
practice makes perfect”
Regular swimming meets are organised and swimmers that
achieve division one times will be entered into ASA
swimming competitions.
The Dolphins swimming team has attractive swimming
team swim suits and caps. Go to the shop for more details.
