Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD
Ten years ago I had never even heard of ADHD. Today it is not uncommon to have at least one child diagnosed with ADHD in every class. There are ten qualifiedteachers in our organisation from around the globe yet we are all in the continual process of researching and learning about ADHD, the most common behavioural disorder in childhood.
Exercise and Children’s Health
Regular exercise is an important health maintenance strategy for children and adolescents. It facilitates weight control; helps strengthen bones, and can reduce cardiovascular risk factors. Mental health may also benefit. An active childhood may also lay the groundwork for a lifetime of fitness. Physicians are in an important position to assess children’s weight status and activity levels during a routine physical exam.
Exercise: Always Good
Exercise is beneficial for everybody. For children, it can pay double: increasing vitality now while building the foundation for a healthy future. Active youngsters are stronger, leaner, and fitter.
